…hard law but law nonetheless: it is through this maxim that we admit a rule as
painful as essential. And it is through it that we must announce, with a huge
disappointment, the long term postponement of the Viking Classic Autoshow to the
spring 2021
We had followed day by day the government directives concerning the coronavirus
and evaluated their possible consequences on our meeting. We had to make a
choice, responsible for everybody and even for the VCA future: the spreading of this
epidemic sequence and the tightening of the governmental decisions make
unrealistic to maintain our gathering on next June 20 21.

Over partners, organizers and decisions to make, there is what we call the Volvo Commnunity : the passionates , those who have a strong link with the Brand. Let’s
introduce the friends who have been working behind the scenes for months.
Being volunteers, they have wished to be involved in promoting Sweden and the
Volvo cars through a very ambitious event project.
We owe them tremendous THANKS in capital letters : Viking Classic Autoshow #11.

This specialist stores, if needed manufactures, and delivers around the world from Lutter, its facility near Hanover (Germany), the spare parts which allow our cars to keep their eternal youth. From the Duett to the XC90 model cars.

It's a true and very prestigious award for us, and we pride ourselves to share it: Pelle Petterson will be the guest of honour of the Viking Classic Autoshow 2020! As has been in 2010, we were wishing to celebrate the maestro and he replied positively to our invitation to come on our French lands, for a so awaited as unforgettable weekend. Few designers can claim to have shaped car history with a stroke of a pen, an emblematic model. He did !
Of course the Volvo P1800 coupé doesn't summarise the Car with a capital C, not even Volvo Cars story. But the design of this four-wheels steed and its success so far, makes it an exception.
In this coupé you can find the spirit of an era (the sixties) and two mingled cultures (Italian and American). You will read also the ambition of an honest car manufacturer determined, like in a David and Goliath struggle, to move mountains.
Pelle Petterson played Tom Thumb in the land of cars. Being a hard worker, he rose from anonymity thanks to his talent and boldness and he left his mark, humbly and discreetly. In a word, elegantly. Thank you so much Mr Petterson to join us to celebrate the 60th anniversary of your creation on next June 20-21.
And thanks in advance to all of you for your patience: you will need a lot at the Château de Fère-en-Tardenois to take a chance to get a dedication from the maestro, due to the foreseeable number of admirers who will queue to get one...

The brand new Jakob's Magazine treats the reader every quarter to no less than 70 pages of pure reading and viewing pleasure from the world of Volvo. Iconic models and intriguing stories alternate with unseen photo material from the historic Volvo archives. In the next issue (march) a full page announcing the Viking Classic Autoshow 2020, which you can discover on their website :

He will come straight from Australia for the occasion. Gerry Lister will honour us with his presence for the Viking Classic Autoshow. A few words for those who never heard about him. Gerry is a prominent figure amongst Volvo Cars Australian landscape. He is the most important Amazon and P1800 spare parts importer in the island-continent.
